About this deal

THINKWARE designed the F70 with a simplistic, modern concept in mind. The F70 takes into consideration the drivers’ position, as well as the entire interior of the vehicle, with a design that fits discreetly on the front windshield to avoid impeding the driver and passenger view. Although there is no dedicated night vision mode using infrared light, the F70 adjusts its video settings at night to boost brightness and reduce noise. Exposure is also adjusted automatically to counter strong sunlight and dark tunnels alike. What the F70 does offer, is what Thinkware calls Front Vehicle Departure Warning, or FVDW. This monitors the vehicle in front when you are stationary, such as at a red light. If the vehicle ahead moves forward and you don’t, the camera will beep to let you know - handy if you’re not paying attention, and less embarrassing than being honked at by the car behind.

The F70 gives drivers an extended view of the road ahead, with a crisp, one channel 1080p full HD resolution and a wide 140-degree angle view. Also equipped with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, the F70’s range covers a greater span between bright and the dark areas while driving. SpacerBLUEVENT MUMU is an AI-Powered Smart Food Composter that reduces up to 95% of food waste through smart technology. The F70 offers various recording modes depending on your usage needs. When installed with a hard wire power cable, the camera switches to parking mode when the ignition is switched off, recording events triggered either by motion or impact detection. In normal parking mode it records 10 seconds before the sensor is triggered and 10 seconds after. If a car owner is going away on holiday or leaving the car for long periods of time, the F70 can be set to Energy Saving Parking Recording. This reduces current drain and puts the camera in sleep mode. When an impact is detected, the camera wakes up and records footage for 20 seconds. In fact, if you opt to have the F70 hardwired into your car, it can be almost completely forgotten about; it will just quietly get on with its job, and politely beep if you’re not paying attention at the traffic lights. As far as additional features go, the Thinkware F70 is quite a simple device. Again, it’s an entry-level product, so literally anything is a bonus. One thing that it does have up its sleeve though is a G sensor. This bit of tech helps the camera to identify impacts, and when that happens, it stores a recording of that moment in a separate folder. As you’d expect, this feature is operational when you’re driving about, but it also forms the basis of ‘parking mode’. As explained earlier, this is the camera’s dormant state which allows it to capture incidents upon impact when you’re away from the car. In its default settings though, there is a bit of a catch…The Thinkware F70 can be installed and used without any software at all, if you like. Most of the default settings, such as exposure and brightness, are perfectly acceptable, and all you really need to do is position the camera so it correctly captures the road ahead. Many dash cams offer a parking mode like this, and it’s a useful feature to have. Although it won’t capture events leading up to the impact, it will record straight after, potentially storing footage that could help you work out what happened, and capture the number plate of the guilty party. The F70 is one of the smaller dash cams on sale today. Where some camera can be bulky and take up a lot of space, this one is almost invisible once installed in the top-middle of your windscreen. The cylinder design is quite smart and subtle, and the mounting system is easy to use. The camera measures 78 x 34.6 x 31.5mm and weighs 42.4g; it should fit behind the rearview mirror of most vehicles. For protection when the vehicle is stopped, the F70 comes with Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW). When waiting at an intersection or in traffic, drivers are informed that the vehicle in front of them has started to move, preventing a delayed response and a possible fender bender accident.

Don't miss out!

Once you’re able, it’s a good idea to position the camera high up and central on the inside of your car’s windscreen. That way, you’ll get the best footage, and the camera will cause the least amount of distraction. In fact, if you hide it behind the rearview mirror it won’t cause any distraction at all. This is especially true of the Thinkware F70 thanks to its slim, discreet design. When placing the mount, you might also want to take note of the fact that the F70’s lens is located to the side of the camera’s body. As such, if you want a perfectly central viewpoint, it may be worth offsetting the mount’s position a little. Connecting to power
